The work British Friars Cragg by Haughton Forrest was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. It achieved a price of AUD 15,600.00 (€ 9,328.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Admittedly, works by Haughton Forrest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 65,725.00 (€ 40,238.76).

Die Arbeit British Friars Cragg von Haughton Forrest kam im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 15.600,00 (€ 9.328,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Haughton Forrest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 65.725,00 (€ 40.238,76).
