Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art & Design Including Arts of The Samurai, which included the work Kanagawa Yokohama annai zue A guide to Yokohama harbour, Kanagawa right-hand sheet signed Gountei Sadahide ga, other two sheets signed Sadahide ga, good impression, slight fading and light staining by Hashimoto Sadahide. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 729.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hashimoto Sadahide achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amerikakoku Taisen No Zu (A Large American Steamship), 1864.3 in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 47,450.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art & Design Including Arts of The Samurai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kanagawa Yokohama annai zue A guide to Yokohama harbour, Kanagawa right-hand sheet signed Gountei Sadahide ga, other two sheets signed Sadahide ga, good impression, slight fading and light staining von Hashimoto Sadahide zur Versteigerung kam.
