Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Showa Era (1926-1989), 1958 by Hashimoto Okiie for USD 765.00 (€ 660.79). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hashimoto Okiie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,858.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Showa Era (1926-1989), 1958 von Hashimoto Okiie für USD 765,00 (€ 660,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hashimoto Okiie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.858,76).
