Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Outside the Citadel by Harry Morley was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in November 2000. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 960.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Morley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Covent Garden in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Outside the Citadel von Harry Morley wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 960,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Morley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Covent Garden im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.127,43).
