Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work The Rev. John William King's ('Mr Launde's') bay filly Agility with jockey up at Newmarket by Harry Hall. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,094.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,005.18).
