Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Lord Howth, With His Racehorse "St. Lawrence," His Trainer, And His Jockey, Ford by Harry Hall. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,527.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Harry Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,005.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lord Howth, With His Racehorse "St. Lawrence," His Trainer, And His Jockey, Ford von Harry Hall zur Versteigerung kam.
