The work The Marquis de Montgomery's Chestnut Filly "La Toucques" at Chantilly by Harry Hall was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. It achieved a price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 44,951.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harry Hall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course sold at auction in May 2005 with the realized price of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,005.18).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 44.951,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harry Hall; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course im Mai 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.005,18).
