Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gamester, winner of the 1859 Doncaster and Newmarket St. Legers, held by a groom, at Newmarket by Harry Hall was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,709.36). Admittedly, works by Harry Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,005.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gamester, winner of the 1859 Doncaster and Newmarket St. Legers, held by a groom, at Newmarket von Harry Hall kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.709,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Hall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fisherman with jockey up attended by a groom on a race course im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.000,00 (€ 62.005,18).
