Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Harry B. Lachman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. In the The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work The Seine at Meudon, Bellevue, France sold for USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,746.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harry B. Lachman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paris from St. Cloud sold at auction in February 2002 with the realized price of USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,464.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry B. Lachman erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit The Seine at Meudon, Bellevue, France für USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.746,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harry B.
