Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Chemin au Port Villefranche by Harry B. Lachman was worth USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,774.46) to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Home & InteriorsCollections at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harry B. Lachman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paris from St. Cloud sold at auction in February 2002 with the realized price of USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,464.19).
