Despite a disappointment, a good price for Harry B. Lachman
When the work Paris from St. Cloud by Harry B. Lachman was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,464.19). Despite this disappointing result, Paris from St. Cloud is the most expensive artwork by Harry B. Lachman that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Harry B. Lachman
Als die Arbeit Paris from St. Cloud von Harry B. Lachman im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.464,19) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Paris from St. Cloud das teuerste Kunstwerk von Harry B. Lachman, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
