Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Chemin à Moret by Harry B. Lachman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,587.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry B. Lachman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paris from St. Cloud, which sold at auction in February 2002 for USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,464.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chemin à Moret von Harry B. Lachman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.120,00 (€ 2.587,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry B. Lachman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paris from St. Cloud beobachtet, die im Februar 2002 für USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.464,19) versteigert wurde.
