Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dancers (Pas de deux, Tarantella) by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 22,812.50 (€ 20,211.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vine in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 681,367.69).
