In the 19th Century American & Western Art auction, the work The Vine sold for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,518.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vine in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 681,367.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harriet Whitney Frishmuth erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century American & Western Art wurde die Arbeit The Vine für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.518,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harriet Whitney Frishmuth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vine im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 962.500,00 (€ 681.367,69).
