The twelve pages of “Image of Water” have long become the renowned articles that have been passed on for generations. Ma Yuan applied his delicate observation for water by granting water waves with countless beauty and the overwhelming “formality beauty” surpassing time and space.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Play With Water by Hao Liang was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 377,600.00 (€ 44,113.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hao Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poison Buddha 2 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 16,975,000.00 (€ 1,859,839.48).

Die Arbeit Play With Water von Hao Liang kam im Oktober 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 377.600,00 (€ 44.113,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hao Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poison Buddha 2 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.975.000,00 (€ 1.859.839,48).
