Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Visual Vortex/ Yellow Corresponding Waves by Hans Christian Berg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,233.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Christian Berg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Visual Vortex - Oily Colours Spiral I, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visual Vortex/ Yellow Corresponding Waves von Hans Christian Berg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.233,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Christian Berg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Visual Vortex - Oily Colours Spiral I beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.900,55) versteigert wurde.
