Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hannes Beckmann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Shadow Over Yellow sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,844.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hannes Beckmann; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eight Times Ten sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,912.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hannes Beckmann erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Shadow Over Yellow für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.844,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hannes Beckmann; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eight Times Ten im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.912,17).
