In June last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Embers by Hannah Bays. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,637.62), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hannah Bays; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot TIME sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of HKD 152,400.00 (€ 17,844.48).

Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Embers von Hannah Bays zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.637,62) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hannah Bays; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit TIME im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 152.400,00 (€ 17.844,48).
