In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Beautiful Plan No. 2 by Han Yajuan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Han Yajuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tribute To Marilyn sold at auction in February 2008 with the realized price of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 50,879.67).

Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beautiful Plan No. 2 von Han Yajuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Han Yajuan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tribute To Marilyn im Februar 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 50.879,67).
