A top price for Hamra Abbas - as previously expected
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Please Do Not Step I by Hamra Abbas. The price achieved of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Please Do Not Step I is the most expensive artwork by Hamra Abbas that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Please Do Not Step I von Hamra Abbas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Please Do Not Step I das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hamra Abbas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
