Sold at the upper estimate price
The work After Lewitt 3 by Hamra Abbas was sold in the This Too Shall Pass auction at Sothebys in Dubai in June 2020. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,561.57), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hamra Abbas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Please Do Not Step I in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit After Lewitt 3 von Hamra Abbas wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion This Too Shall Pass bei Sothebys in Dubai versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.561,57) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hamra Abbas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Please Do Not Step I im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27).
