Sold at the upper estimate price
In June 2020 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction This Too Shall Pass, which included the work Construction Drawing 1 (Triangle) by Hamra Abbas. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,355.89), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hamra Abbas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Please Do Not Step I, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion This Too Shall Pass durch, in der auch die Arbeit Construction Drawing 1 (Triangle) von Hamra Abbas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.355,89) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hamra Abbas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Please Do Not Step I beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.797,27) versteigert wurde.
