This artwork by Hamed Ewais achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2014. In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art auction, the work Al Zaim w Ta'mim Al Canal (Nasser and the Nationalisation of the Canal) sold for USD 557,000.00 (€ 444,533.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hamed Ewais; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Al Aabour (The Crossing Of The Suez Canal) sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 605,000.00 (€ 531,167.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hamed Ewais erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art wurde die Arbeit Al Zaim w Ta'mim Al Canal (Nasser and the Nationalisation of the Canal) für USD 557.000,00 (€ 444.533,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hamed Ewais; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Al Aabour (The Crossing Of The Suez Canal) im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 531.167,69).
