Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Hamed Ewais. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,009.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hamed Ewais have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Al Aabour (The Crossing Of The Suez Canal) in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 531,167.69).
