The work Sonic Rotating Oval – Nickel Plated #5 by Haegue Yang was auctioned at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 20,160.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34 %. Admittedly, works by Haegue Yang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Central Composition in Explosion – Trustworthy ‘For Sophie Taeuber’ #184 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 89,020.30).

Die Arbeit Sonic Rotating Oval – Nickel Plated #5 von Haegue Yang kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Köln zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 20.160,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Haegue Yang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Central Composition in Explosion – Trustworthy ‘For Sophie Taeuber’ #184 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 89.020,30).
