Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Triptych Moons - Coffee, Tea And Cacao by Haegue Yang was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in March 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,980.50), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Haegue Yang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Central Composition in Explosion – Trustworthy ‘For Sophie Taeuber’ #184 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 89,020.30).
