In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Huntsmen fishing; also five works by other hands by Hablot Knight Browne. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,293.75), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hablot Knight Browne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Run with the Stag Hounds, including: Hold hard! Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.293,75) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hablot Knight Browne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Run with the Stag Hounds, including: Hold hard!
