Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gyula Kosice was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. The price achieved of USD 28,000.00 (€ 17,994.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gyula Kosice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Televisor Hidraulizado 2, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gyula Kosice wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 17.994,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gyula Kosice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Televisor Hidraulizado 2 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert wurde.
