This price was achieved in the auction The Gunter Sachs Collection Day Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guy Johnson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot California Moon sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,565.95).
