Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Guy Johnson for EUR 2,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work California Moon, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,565.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2008 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Guy Johnson für EUR 2.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Johnson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit California Moon beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.565,95) versteigert wurde.
