Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Bambous Devant La Mer, Tobago by Guy Bardone. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Bardone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in January 2006 for USD 4,560.00 (€ 3,750.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bambous Devant La Mer, Tobago von Guy Bardone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.158,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Bardone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für USD 4.560,00 (€ 3.750,62) versteigert wurde.
