Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French hélène by Gustave Moreau. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 513,000.00 (€ 577,306.36). Other works by Gustave Moreau have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 677,250.00 (€ 974,220.47) in November 2004 for the work La Chimère.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French hélène von Gustave Moreau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 513.000,00 (€ 577.306,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Gustave Moreau haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 677.250,00 (€ 974.220,47) im November 2004 für die Arbeit La Chimère beobachtet.
