Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Songe D'Un Habitant Du Mogol by Gustave Moreau was auctioned at Christies in New York in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 604,800.00 (€ 608,818.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gustave Moreau have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2004 the work La Chimère was auctioned for GBP 677,250.00 (€ 974,220.47).

Die Arbeit Le Songe D'Un Habitant Du Mogol von Gustave Moreau kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 608.818,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
