Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vue de Montmartre by Gustave Mascart was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,421.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gustave Mascart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la Plage in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vue de Montmartre von Gustave Mascart kam im Juni 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.421,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Mascart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la Plage im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81).
