Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,223.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Gustave Mascart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la Plage in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Before a town bridge von Gustave Mascart kam im Juli 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.223,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Mascart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la Plage im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81).
