In April 2014 Artcurial held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Bords De Seine Aux Environs De Paris by Gustave Mascart. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,380.00 69% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gustave Mascart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la Plage in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 69 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Artcurial die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bords De Seine Aux Environs De Paris von Gustave Mascart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.380,00 und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Mascart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la Plage im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81).
