Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Preparing for a fishing trip by Gustave Mascart. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,570.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Gustave Mascart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la Plage in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Preparing for a fishing trip von Gustave Mascart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.570,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Mascart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la Plage im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81).
