Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Bord de rivière by Gustave Mascart. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,150.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Gustave Mascart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la Plage in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bord de rivière von Gustave Mascart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.150,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Mascart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la Plage im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81).
