Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Deep Devotion by Gustave de Jonghe was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2004. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,736.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave de Jonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Afternoon Visit in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 123,353.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Deep Devotion von Gustave de Jonghe wurde im September 2004 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.736,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave de Jonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Afternoon Visit im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 123.353,43).
