In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work Girl In A Riding Habit by Gustave Jacquet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,618.71), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Jacquet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French la Bienvenue in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 375,000.00 (€ 315,179.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl In A Riding Habit von Gustave Jacquet zur Versteigerung kam.
