Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A lady in a fur-lined cape by Gustave Jacquet. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,713.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Jacquet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French la Bienvenue in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 375,000.00 (€ 315,179.02).
