In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work La Rue Halévy, Vue Du Sixième Étage by Gustave Caillebotte. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,932,000.00 (€ 12,496,188.00), 74% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Caillebotte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jeune homme à sa fenêtre, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 53,030,000.00 (€ 46,983,255.07).

Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Rue Halévy, Vue Du Sixième Étage von Gustave Caillebotte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.932.000,00 (€ 12.496.188,00) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Caillebotte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jeune homme à sa fenêtre beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 53.030.000,00 (€ 46.983.255,07) versteigert wurde.
