Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jerusalem by Gustav Bauernfeind was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,044.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustav Bauernfeind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market In Jaffa in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 3,728,900.00 (€ 4,325,256.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jerusalem von Gustav Bauernfeind kam im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.044,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustav Bauernfeind erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Market In Jaffa im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.728.900,00 (€ 4.325.256,58).
