In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Works from the Najd Collection, which included the work Market In Jaffa by Gustav Bauernfeind. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,728,900.00 (€ 4,325,256.58). With this result, Market In Jaffa is even the most expensive work of art by Gustav Bauernfeind that we have observed at auctions so far.
