Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included this untitled work by Gulam Rasool Santosh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73). Admittedly, works by Gulam Rasool Santosh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 108,151.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gulam Rasool Santosh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gulam Rasool Santosh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 108.151,27).
