Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Camouflage by Gulam Rasool Santosh was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in September 2021. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 30,232.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gulam Rasool Santosh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 108,151.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Camouflage von Gulam Rasool Santosh wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 30.232,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gulam Rasool Santosh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 149.000,00 (€ 108.151,27) versteigert wurde.
