Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work A Neapolitan girl feeding the chickens by Giuseppe Giardiello. The price achieved of GBP 920.15 (€ 1,377.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Giardiello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A family gathering, Naples in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).
