This artwork by Giuseppe Giardiello achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2003. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Fishermen sorting their nets on the Neapolitan coast sold for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,193.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Giardiello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A family gathering, Naples, which sold at auction in September 2007 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43).

In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Fishermen sorting their nets on the Neapolitan coast für GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.193,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00.
