Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait Of A Seated Woman by Guillaume Seignac. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,524.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume Seignac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French l'Abandon in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 191,230.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Seated Woman von Guillaume Seignac zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.524,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillaume Seignac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French l'Abandon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 191.230,64).
