The work La Vague by Guillaume Seignac was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,807.85) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume Seignac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French l'Abandon in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 191,230.64).

Die Arbeit La Vague von Guillaume Seignac wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.807,85) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillaume Seignac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French l'Abandon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 191.230,64).
